I always saw it on my grandfathers wrist. When I was around 6 years old I asked him if I could see and hold his watch. He showed me his piece and I was truly amazed, from the second he deployed the clasp. He told me that was so you can make the bracelet longer so it could go over your wetsuit if you went diving. It also had a ring around the crystal that could rotate to time how long you were underwater so you wouldnt run out of oxygen. I was blown away. But that wasnt it. It wasnt only a watch, but it even had a stopwatchThe fact that my grandfather actually used it as a tool meant a lot to me. Subsequently, it would become my grail. Since that day I always wanted the same piece as my grandfather a Heuer Autavia 11063V.On January the 20th, my grandfather took the Autavia of a shelve and gave it to me. I asked, Why? Isnt this your piece? And he told me, Id rather give it to you with a warm hand, than with a cold one.I just turned 16 on September 14th, and I got the watch completely serviced, and of course, I kept it completely original. I still cant believe it. Im barely 16 and I already own my grail watchAnd, even better, I own a watch that my Grandfather made a lot of memories with.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Dani Fejes (@wis_on_a_budget) on May 25, 2020 at 8:06am PDT@wis_on_a_budget Christopher Ward GMTQuarantine was hard on everyone, in my opinion, people arent used to spending 24/7 together anymore. This is where neglected hobbies come into play. I barely had time (or motivation) to read lately but all of a sudden I had all the time I wanted. I went through several books and it helped me recapture my love of reading. The same was true when it came to playing video games. I had (who am I kidding, still have) a massive backlog and managed to play a couple through finally. Not to mention all the wonderful craft beers I had but with work barely had the chance to drink any. Hah, that definitely changed for the betterThere was one thing that stayed the same during the quarantine. Having a watch on my wrist. Every day. Even though I didnt really need to wear one, since time sort of lost its meaning as the days and weeks went by, this I couldnt change. It became such an integral part of my everyday life that I kept rotating and giving love to each and every one of my watches, regardless of what was going on out there in the worldView this post on InstagramA post shared by wristfreaks (@wristfreaks) on Jun 16, 2020 at 1:15am PDT@wristfreaks Yacht-Master III've always wanted a white dial watch. Daytonas are too hard to get and resale is too expensive. This Yacht-Master was the best of both worlds with 's most complicated movement and a white dial. In this shot, I wanted to showcase its beautiful dial using muted colors as background.View this post on InstagramA post shared by James (@peach861) on Jun 14, 2020 at 2:49pm PDT@peach861 Tudor Big BlockThis shot is from the day I received the piece had a little celebratory tipple whilst enjoying some perfect evening light. I love the way the oyster case looks and it wears so comfortably on the wrist. Thanks for votingThis poll is now closed. The winner will be announced on Instagram @fratellowatches.
